2024 Snezek Library Leadership Institute

July 10 - 12, 2024
North Central University, Minneapolis, MN

OVERVIEW

The 2023 Snezek Library Leadership Institute will be held from July 10th-12th at North Central University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Library deans, directors, and senior library leaders from CCCU institutions are invited to engage with each other around the challenges of leading academic libraries in a Christian context.

The Snezek Institute is named for Paul Snezek, former library director at Wheaton College, who mentored many Christian librarians in academic settings. The Snezek Institute is an intensive, in-person experience that uses a cohort model – all participants attend the same sessions. This allows for extended conversation, collaboration, and a confidential setting to discuss hard issues.

Our 2024 theme is “Adapting to the New Reality,” and we will discuss the many ways that academic librarianship has changed already in this decade. Keynote topics this year include “Understanding Gen Z Students” and “Trends in Academic Resource Sharing.”  We’ll approach these topics and more through facilitated conversations and presentations, allowing time for thought and focus with fellow CCCU library leaders.

The Snezek Library Leadership Institute is a program under the auspices of the CCCU Library Leadership Council.

Additional details and registration will be shared and found here in the coming weeks.
