(WASHINGTON, D.C.) — The Council for Christian Colleges & Universities welcomes Dr. Kevin Mannoia to serve as senior fellow for global engagement, effective October 1, 2026.
As the CCCU continues to grow its international membership, Mannoia will help shape how the association serves and equips those institutions. Working alongside senior fellow Ted Song and the Office of Membership, he will support initiatives that may include regional gatherings across multiple continents, leadership networking groups, and sustained dialogue on the integration of faith and learning in diverse cultural contexts.
Mannoia brings more than 40 years of ministry leadership and a rare breadth of experience across the church, from the congregation to the global level. He has served as a pastor, superintendent and bishop in the Free Methodist Church, as president of the National Association of Evangelicals, and as president of the International Council for Higher Education, an international accrediting agency and network of Christian colleges and universities in restricted parts of the world. Across these roles, his ministry has focused on expanding God’s kingdom by raising up the next generation of leaders around the world.
Mannoia was shaped by Christian higher education. A graduate of Roberts Wesleyan College (BA) and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (MDiv), he began his pastoral work in Dallas, Texas, and earned his PhD from the University of North Texas. He later served Azusa Pacific University as dean of theology and university chaplain, overseeing the spiritual care of faculty, staff and graduate students and advising the administration and board on institutional identity. He has also guided the mission of Christian institutions as a trustee, including at Roberts Wesleyan College and Seattle Pacific University.
Mannoia remains engaged at APU as a professor and serves as a pastoral coach for the Free Methodist Church of Southern California. He is the founder of the Wesleyan Holiness Connection and the author of books including The Integrity Factor, Church Planting: The Next Generation and The Holiness Manifesto. Raised in Brazil and experienced in international pastoral ministry, he lives as a world Christian while remaining deeply invested in his local California community.
CCCU president David A. Hoag said, “Kevin’s decades of leadership across campuses, denominations, and international Christian higher education networks make him a natural partner in this work. Together, he and Ted bring the experience and vision needed to help the CCCU proactively serve and strengthen our member institutions around the world.”
“It is a privilege to serve the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities in this capacity,” said Mannoia. “The ability to speak into and assist with guiding the work of equipping individuals and institutions to reach the world for Christ is a passion and a calling. I am deeply committed to providing help where it is most needed to see the vast membership of the CCCU continue to reach the nations with the life-changing power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”
