OVERVIEW

“The Role & Value of Doctoral Programs in Christian Higher Education”

The CCCU’s Doctoral Education Council is pleased to gather once again with doctoral program directors, faculty, and administrators from member institutions for this bi-annual event. This event is an interactive conference on issues of doctoral education development and support, promoting increased excellence in doctoral education at CCCU institutions for all doctoral program directors, faculty, and administrators.

This gathering will take place on the campus of Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN, from Thursday, September 26 through Saturday, September 28.

SCHEDULE

The schedule and agenda for the 2024 Doctoral Ed Conference will enable all attendees to network with one another, hear from impactful presenters, and take part in a hands-on workshop opportunity to further grow and develop a doctoral education curriculum.

8:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Pre-conference Workshop for New and Developing Doctoral Program Directors and Faculty
  • This pre-conference event will focus on leading and teaching within doctoral programs in faith-based universities. New and developing program directors and faculty will find this event to be informative and helpful to their roles.
  • The Workshop will be hosted by Trace Herbert, Associate Provost for Research and Graduate Studies, Lipscomb University, and Ben Pyykkonen, Director, Clinical Psychology Ph.D. & PsyD Programs, Wheaton College.
