Donald Douglas and Richard Slimbach have stated clearly the relationship between globalization and God’s kingdom as well as the logical outcome of such a commitment to diversity and inclusiveness on our campuses. No doubt they issue an appropriate challenge and outline a reasonable course for implementation. What may be lacking is a thorough discussion of the necessity for making such significant, and in some cases radical, changes in the curriculum and character of our respective schools. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the essential nature of a distinctly global Christian education as praxis for liberal arts colleges and universities.
