CCCU Monograph Narrative SeriesThe need for sabbaticals for college and university leaders has risen concurrently with the demands being placed on those in leadership. The challenges of senior administrators in Christian higher education today have given rise to increased pressures, tensions, and stress. Our movement has been blessed with very rapid growth and expansion over the last several decades, allowing our institutions to serve far greater numbers and thus have a greater positive impact on our society. However, this development, as wonderful as it is, has come with a cost to its leadership that has not generally been acknowledged.
