This 150 page book contains informative chapters on transforming curriculum and goals of multicultural education. Although geared primarily toward high schools, a number of the chapters provide information that would be useful for college and university multicultural issues.

The need for a more inclusive curriculum and university is addressed in this practical application to these issues. The chapters include proposals for improving teaching, administration,and student outcomes.

Harris, Dean A., ed. Multiculturalism from the Margins: Non-dominant Voices on Difference and Diversity. Westport, Conn: Bergin & Garvey,1995.

"Social Movements and the Politics ofDifference", " A Multicultural America: Living in a Sea of Diversity", and"Dialogue and Diversity: Communication across Groups" are some of the chapter titles in this 193 page book.

Morey, Ann Intili and Margie K. Kitano, ed. Multicultural Course Transformation in Higher Education: a Broader Truth. Boston: Allyn and Bacon, 1997.

Among the topics included are course change, assessment, creating an enabling learning environment, multicultural infusion in teacher education, in nursing curricula, and implementation strategies as well as evaluating the results of multicultural education.
