C.R.A.L. Update: May 16 Web Meeting on Definition of Credit Hour

May 09, 2011
Adult and online programs are struggling to make sense of new financial aid regulations regarding the definition of a credit hour. It appears colleges will have to demonstrate a good faith effort to specify a consistent policy for awarding credit hours. This is particularly vexing for colleges delivering courses online and/or in an accelerated format where seat time does not determine outcomes. How is your institution planning to respond to these new regulations? Join an informal web discussion with other Christian college administrators of adult learning programs on May 16 at noon (EDT). Sponsored by the CCCU Center for Research in Adult Learning, the discussion will be facilitated by Dr. Steve Holtrop, associate dean for adult and graduate studies at Huntington University. There is no charge to participate. Please contact jennifer.vermilion@indwes.edu for details.
