CCCU online Career Center aids job searches

June 15, 2010
WASHINGTON, D.C.Since July 2009 to the present, 133 active employers posted 1308 jobs at the CCCU online Career Center and more than 2,300 job seekers created accounts to receive updates on new jobs and maintain their resume or curriculum vita online.

The CCCU Career Center was my main source of finding chemistry-related faculty positions at Christian colleges and universities, says Dr. Bruce Hathaway, who starts in his new position as a chemistry professor at LeTourneau University this fall. Many of these schools don't advertise in Chemical and Engineering News, which was my other major source of chemistry job openings. Without the CCCU site, I probably wouldn't have been aware of the position opening at LeTourneau University, and thus, would not be going there in the fall.

The primary person providing customer service to employers and job-seekers for the CCCU Career Center is Janet Tupper, Accounting Administrator, for the CCCU. Im proud to be able to help our campuses find quality candidates. Tupper added, Our goal is to provide access and usability to the site so that we can continue to be a premier place for campuses and job-seekers to connect.
