The Council for Christian Colleges & Universities announces the appointment of Tom McWhertor, former administrative official at Calvin College (MI), as a Senior Fellow.
As part of his undertakings as Senior Fellow, McWhertor will be the project director for a comprehensive Market Research program, undertaken in collaboration with the CCCU Membership and Noel-Levitz, Inc. Since 1986, the Market Research project provides timely information for CCCU institutions regarding potential students and the changing environment of higher education.
McWhertor is the new director of constituency development for the Christian Reformed World Relief, based in Michigan. Previously, McWhertor served at Calvin College (MI) for 16 years, finishing as vice president of Enrollment and External Programs.
Tom McWhertor has been a valuable contributor to Christ-centered higher education especially through his leadership in market research for our member institutions, said CCCU President Paul R. Corts. We are thrilled he has agreed to continue to provide leadership of our Market Research work as Project Director through accepting appointment as a CCCU Senior Fellow.
I am honored to be a Senior Fellow of the CCCU and pleased that this can be a formal way that I stay connected to Christ-centered higher education as I move to a new calling in this next phase of my life. I am also excited to continue my involvement with the new Market Research project, as I know how important a similar project was a decade ago. I look forward to contributing as I am able to the high calling of Christian higher education and the CCCU, said McWhertor.
Senior Fellows are volunteer leaders and experts appointed by the President of the CCCU who are tasked to assist the Council on special issues and projects. Senior Fellows work directly with the president.
