CCCU President Paul Corts has recently created a new Commission on International Higher Education (CIHE) which will be facilitated by Rich Gathro, executive vice president for the Council. The new commission will explore how the CCCU can be more significantly a part of the development of Christ-centered higher education around the world.
Commission members are appointed for two-year terms, renewable once. Charter members are:

Gathro and the Commission on International Higher Education will host a meeting in Oxford, England, June 8-11, 2007, to examine the advancement of Christ-centered institutions abroad and recommend specific actions and plans. Stan Rosenberg, director of the BestSemester Programmes in Oxford, and Richard Turnbull, principal, Wycliffe Hall, will serve as local hosts for the event.The commission has invited the leadership of the International Association for the Promotion of Christian Higher Education and the International Council for Higher Education to join them as partners in the conversation.
