College of the Ozarks Seal
Called "Hard Work U" by The Wall Street Journal, College of the Ozarks is unique, in that it charges no tuition, requires all students to work on campus, and discourages debt.
Along with academics and work, the College stresses character education. Students have opportunities to participate in character-building through travel, study, and attending convocations where leaders such as Secretary of State Colin Powell and Lady Margaret Thatcher speak on values.
Education of the heart, head and hands is essential at College of the Ozarks. Emphasis on good character and strong Christian principles is part of everyday life.
