The Council for Christian Colleges & Universities is headquartered in the historic Capitol Hill district of Washington, D.C. Throughout the course of 30-plus years, the staff has grown from five to 80 employees.
In 1989, the Council purchased the townhouse adjacent to The Dellenback Center. From 1989 to 1999, the townhouse served as the primary offices for the
CCCU and the American Studies Program. As the Council continued to grow, so did the need for expanded office space. The top floor of the townhouse currently serves as the central office for
CCCU Student Programs; the main floor offers a formal reception area for the
ASP as well as a Student Commons. In 1997, additional renovations were made to the ground floor, which houses the offices for the American Studies Program.
In 1999, the Council purchased and renovated an existing townhouse to use as its main headquarters. The original two-story townhouse was constructed in the 1850s and is one of the few remaining wooden clapboard structures on Capitol Hill. It is now a four-story building with individual floors dedicated to the Presidents office, Communications, Professional Development & Research and Finance & Administration.
In 2006, with the provision of a gracious donor, the Council moved into a fourth and final building, another historic townhouse directly adjacent to the organizations current complex. Named The Green House, this building houses the Washington Journalism Center offices and communal space, and offers state-of-the-art education and communications resources.
