Commission for Advancing Intercultural Competencies

The Advancing Intercultural Competencies (AIC) commission is appointed by the CCCU president.  The commission provides counsel and advice to the CCCU president on intercultural competency matters.  Included among the topics under “intercultural competencies” are: Race/Ethnicity – racial/ethnic harmony and diversity;  World religions/Interfaith – exploring belief systems in a pluralistic world with integrity to the distinctiveness of the historic Christian faith; Gender Equity – biblical approaches to gender equity; Human Sexuality – biblical approaches to sexuality; and Disenfranchisement – biblical approaches to the poor, disabled, prisoners, etc.  The primary staff liaison for the AIC Commission is the CCCU Vice President of Professional Development & Research.
