The Blueprint for the Future, approved by the CCCU Board of Directors in July 2008, is the result of a significant comprehensive self-study and a year-long strategic thinking process. The process revealed a need for commitment in renewal of continuous work and a pledge to take on new opportunities.
In that spirit the board reaffirmed the Council's mission statement and committed to these guideposts as a Blueprint for the Future. The Blueprint stands on six commitments and recommitments:
- A recommitment to student programs
- A recommitment to professional development for peer groups, faculty, presidents and trustees
- A recommitment to public policy and advocacy
- A commitment to strengthen research, data collection and analysis
- A commitment to strengthen and expand communications
- A commitment to assist and advance global Christ-centered higher education
