Conference Overview
In the Spring of 2013, the CAO conference will be held in collaborations with the Senior Student Development Officers conference in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Christian Smith, Director of the Center for the Study of Religion and Society will lead our joint plenary sessions in review of his book: Lost in Transition. Senior Academic and Student Development leaders will have the opportunity to discuss this research and consider the implications for working with students through curricular and co-curricular activities. Dr. Smith’s work has focused on student spiritual formation. This conference will provide an opportunity to examine the challenges inherent in the student’s culture (ages 18 to 23), while exploring creative ways to deliver effective pedagogy and programs.
